CORPECTOMY

Anterior (from the front) corpectomy (removal of vertebra) to thoracic upper distances is a difficult surgical procedure requiring experience that can be performed after opening the thoracic cage (chest cage).

In that patient, an anterior T2 corpectomy procedure was carried out, and the cage and plaque were placed without opening the thoracic cage, by means of a technique called manubriotomy. My patient suffered from a serious disease called multiple myeloma that leads fractures and collapses in the bones.
